Hutker Architects offers a full range of professional interior design services. Our goal is a comprehensive program of furnishings and accessories for each room. Our interior designers work closely with you and the project’s architects to coordinate details, materials, and design elements. A typical interior design program includes the following services:

1. Client Needs Assessment

We conduct interviews with you to to define interior furnishings, window treatments and accessory needs. We work closely with you to understand your style preferences.

2. Existing Inventory Analysis

We review furniture and accessories from your existing inventory that may be used as is or with alterations (reupholstery, paint, etc.).

3. Design Concept

We propose design concepts for the space as a whole, including room by room furniture layouts with the goal of creating a unified style and ambiance.

4. Budget Development

We review the design strategies with you, including approval of pricing and allowances. We prepare a preliminary estimated project budget based upon the design concept. We visit showrooms and sources to finalize selections and confirm pricing. We obtain proposals and quotes for the selected items for your review.

5. Production coordination

We coordinate the interior design with architectural detailing, materials, finishes, millwork, casings, lighting, fixtures, hardware, and accessories. We track orders from production to installation and coordinate interim storage as required. We coordinate fabric orders and finishing services with upholstery workshops. We facilitate refinishing of existing inventory to coordinate the old with the new.

6. Installation coordination

We organize storage, delivery, installation, and finishing crews as needed. We monitor vendors’ anticipated delivery dates. We monitor the condition of the project before and after it has been professionally serviced by the contractor.
